Ponds Besties Soiree

I’ve been having the hardest time adjusting to the new school year and juggling all that with my driving lessons (yehesss), and lots of family events keeping me busy so I apologize for this late post! Anyway, if you follow me on Instagram, you may have already seen a couple of my posts from the Pond's Besties Soiree held last August 14!

The best part about the Besties Soiree is pretty obvious -- I was able to bring my best friend Alex along! My other best friend Carmela brought Kyla along, who happens to be my best friend as well. Basically all 3 of my closest friends in the world were there. YAY! While we were there, we were fortunate enough to get educated on break outs, their causes, and proper skincare routines. Through the #PondsBesties campaign, several student ambassadors like my best friends and I also get to share how we get acne clear skin!

In the photo above, you'll see us holding our adorable back to school pouches filled with some Acne Clear White products! It was really fun being able to pick out the other goodies and keychains that came with the pouch. It made the whole experience more personal for us.

With our pouches came a keychain of our initials, some cute makeup products, and as well as a mini notebook!

Let me share some of my favorite pictures with my bestie! Hehe hi Alex! Thank you for coming with me!
You could also help us win a trip to Japan by liking all our #PondsBesties posts hehe!

Aaaand of course I'm here to tell you a little more about the star of the show, Pond's Acne Clear White Facial Scrub! It has micro scrub beads as well as salicylic acid that work deep within the skin to help you get rid of 10 oil and acne problems! These include excess oil, pimples, blemishes, redness, blackheads, whiteheads, irritation, roughness, large pores, and dullness! I've been loving this product for my mid-day face washes at school. Ateneo has no aircon so I really have no choice but to wash my face since I end up feeling so sticky by lunch time. If you plan on giving it a try, it's Php 85 for the 50g and Php 155 for the 100g. If you're looking for something more heavy duty, they also have an Overnight Pimple Care Gel!

If you're looking for something more heavy duty, they also have an Overnight Pimple Care Gel! This costs Php 320 for a 20mL bottle.
I know as girls, one of our biggest insecurities can be our skin which is why I'm glad Pond's has given us this great new solution for breakouts. Pond's Acne Clear White is worth giving a shot, just keep in mind that what works for some girls' skin may not work for others! If you guys have any more questions/concerns, you know where to find me haha! (ask.fm wink wink)

Baking Tutorial

HORAAAY FOR A NEW VIDEO TUTORIAL! The baking method has been taking over the makeup and more importantly, the selfie world by storm! Fun fact: this method actually originated from our gorgeous drag queen sizzies out there. Thank God for them! All it took was for me to try it once and I was instantly sold since I got to experience how it was such a game-changer for my makeup. Because I love it so much, I just had to share how I do it on myself with all of you!

Before you watch my tutorial, I just want to explain that this is how I choose to bake my makeup and it can be totally different from how other people do it. For example, Heidi Hamoud, one of my favorite Youtube beauty gurus, wets her beauty blender when she applies the translucent setting powder. Some people on the other hand, apply 2 different kinds of concealers, one that's full coverage and a more sheer one over it. It's all a matter of preference!

So here's my tutorial! Sorry there isn't any background music! Some of you guys told me you couldn't watch my videos on your mobile devices and I found out it's cause of my music's copyright issues. I just played it safe and chose to not put any. :D

If you're like me and you find that your concealer tends to crease and you sometimes end up getting "panda eyes", then baking is perfect for you! Like I said in my video, it may not be for everyday use, but it's great for photoshoots, special events, and maybe just for days wherein you're feeling a little fancier than usual hehe.
The only downside to baking is that it may emphasize any dry skin or lines you may have around your eyes. This is why it's important to moisturize that area first and use primers if you need to. You could always try to adjust your technique to suit your needs better. Play with different concealers and powders to see which will give you the best results.

I guarantee that your makeup wont cake or move all day/night! Even our humid weather is no match for the baking method. Let me know what you guys think! I'm always here to listen at my ask.fm :)
