Dermalogica Facial Experience

If you’ve been following me for a while now, then you’ll know how obsessed I have become with skin care. I used to have a mindset that anything can be covered with makeup, but eventually I realized that great skin is the real MVP here. It’s just impossible for makeup to look its best if your skin isn’t looking its best as well.

With that being said, I’m always on the lookout for effective new skin care products that help in my quest for perfect skin. And recently, the brand Dermalogica has entered my life and I think it’s safe to say that it has now made a permanent spot on my shelf of skin care products. But what Dermalogica has offered me that has really changed my skin the most, was their Special Skincare Treatment that I am so happy I was able to document so I could share a glimpse of my experience with all of you!

I came in thinking that it would just be like any other facial I have experienced, but I was wrong. This facial felt very luxurious from start to finish and it was a great way for me to experience and feel the difference that Dermalogica products really make on the skin. Specifically, what really got my attention was their Pre-Cleanse, Cleanser, and HyrdaBlur the Charcoal Mask that Ms. Riza used on me. I'll make a separate review on these products, but for now I really wanna give attention to the amazing facial! Check out the short video below.

As you will see in the video, what was the main difference of Dermalogica's facial, was the Face Mapping, which is Dermalogica's unique way of analyzing each person's skin. They divide your skin into 14 different zones, and tell you what skin concerns are present in each one. For me, I found out that I have an uneven skin tone around my forehead and neck, as well as dehydrated skin. Upon analyzing my skin, Ms. Riza then created a skin care regimen for me and recommended the products I need for my skin.

What I also liked about the facial was that Ms. Riza didn't use any tools for the extraction of a few of my pimples and blackheads, she just used her fingers! I asked her why, and she said she prefers using fingers because they don't leave scars and scabs unlike some tools do. True enough, I didn't notice any marks from the facial, but I was left with really supple and smooth skin. This really pleased me because I'm used to having quite a few scars after getting facials. I usually end up having to cover these scars for a few days with makeup, but this wasn't the case with the Dermalogica facial at all. I ended up not even wearing any makeup the following days just cause my skin was looking soooo good.

I highly recommend giving Dermalogica's facials a try if you have some skin concerns, or even if you just feel like giving your skin a boost! The effects of the facial last for weeks and I truly believe that when it comes to your skin, there are really some things that you cant just do at home. The facials range from Php1200 to Php2200 and can be done in their Rustan's Makati, Shangri-La, and Alabang branches.

Happy Skin Moisturizing Lip Liners

Hi guys! For the swatches of the new Happy Skin Moisturizing Matte Lippies, I’ve decided to do something different! I've filmed a short video showcasing the 3 shades instead of just taking photos like I usually do. I had a lot of free time on my hands and I just felt like this was a better way for you guys to see how the shades look and just how amazing they apply! I've fallen in love with this product so much that I wanted to go the extra mile. Pictures don't do this product any justice!

These lipliners are actually from Happy Skin's collaboration with the beautiful Heart Evangelista-Escudeo. She explains that she likes to stick to more classic and traditional color palettes, which is why all three shades are so wearable and would go great with different colors of lipstick that you may want to wear over them. But for me, I've been wearing these lipliners on their own, and maybe with just a touch of clear gloss once in a while when I'm feeling more adventurous.

My favorite lipliners are usually from MAC and Charlotte Tilbury, but from the first time I tried on the Happy Skin ones, they zoomed straight to the top of my list as one of the best lipliners money can buy! Aside from the fact that they are SO pigmented, what I really love about them is that they don't budge once they're on your lips. I even wear the shade First Date whenever I go boxing, and it still ends up looking perfect by the time I'm done. Even if they have a perfect matte finish, they also feel incredibly comfortable on the lips thanks to the ingredients like CupuaƧu Butter, Shea Butter, and collagen!

First Date is a universal pink that's perfect for...well...first dates HAHA. I'll wait til someone asks me out before I can 100% attest to that though. But seriously speaking, it's a great shade for those girly girls out these that love their pink lips.

Skinny Dipping on the other hand, is a nice warm nude perfect for those "no makeup" makeup days. I think this color would also work well if you want to tone down a bolder eye look.

And lastly, Heartthrob is a beautiful red shade that has a slightly blue undertone which I am so happy about because it just makes my teeth look extra white when I have this shade on! Heartthrob is my personal favorite from the 3 shades, and if you follow me on Snapchat, you'll know that I've been wearing this consecutively for the past couple of days. Talk about obsessed!

I super duper highly recommend this lipliner and can't rave about it enough! They are P499 each and are now available in all Happy Skin stores! Hurry and get your lipliners ASAP because sadly, they are just limited edition HUHUHU. Don't be surprised if you catch me hoarding all of them.

Also, please let me know what you guys think of this style of swatching on my ask.fm! Til next time, beauties!
